We’re thrilled to announce the beta release of Kouya and Rui’s stories today on itch.io!

What to expect in this release?

•  What These Hands Sow, What These Hands Reap: 8 full days of story with Good, Bad, and Golden Ends for both Kouya and Rui
•  For the love of God, Sol, stop moving: a more dynamic camera and revamped character movement help keep you immersed in Haraya City’s multiple storylines. If this causes any motion sickness, just turn off Character Motion in the settings!
•  Rethink your choices: the new Save System allows for easy backtracking without the hassles of a time paradox or your favorite boy’s hurt feelings.
•  Be Incredibly Online: you can now view Ayara Social Link posts from previous days, so you don’t miss out on any of ASL Ara’s romantic fumbles. A banner on the Schedule screen also reminds you of any unread posts.
•  Gotta go fast: engine optimizations have brought 3-4x speed improvements in scene loading!
•  Revamped Ayaran Soundscape: enjoy fresh new tracks from our collaboration with local Filipino music talent, Bobbi Doloiras!

Beta Reminders

Things we are working to fix and improve include:

1. Missing Chapter names + times: you will see a lot  of chapter names and timestamps labeled TODO, rest assured all story content for both Kouya and Rui's routes are complete.
2. Complete soundtrack: we're working with our composer to complete the soundtrack soon, you should already be able to hear some of our new tracks in-game!
3. Kouya Route ASL posts: see even more of Haraya's colorful characters! Due to the amount of additional art needed for this, we will be updating the game later on within the Beta period with the complete ASL posts.
4. General improvements: we're looking to add credits, end of route markers, and other quality of life and polishing improvements on future builds of the game!

If you encounter any issues (missing CGs, missing character sprites, missing soundtrack) please help us by reporting it over at our Discord #report-an-issue channel! We hope to get this fixed before we release the two routes on our public storefronts soon ;)

For Android users, simply download and sideload the attached APK. 

For iOS users, please join the TestFlight program for Golden Hour to gain access to the latest beta releases:

NOTE: The version of Golden Hour on the App Store is the demo version. For the beta with Kouya and Rui's routes, please follow the instructions above.
